Loading Bay Equipment

From dock seals to levellers and loading lights, All4Doors can supply and install everything you need.

Loading Bay Dock Levellers

Dock levellers have been designed to ‘bridge the gap’ between the loading bay and the vehicle, ensuring loading and unloading is safe. Using a leveller, goods can be moved in and out of the vehicle with one straight movement whether you are using cages, forklifts or pallet trucks.

Our levellers have been designed and tested in accordance to BSi EN1398/2009, meaning they fully comply with all European legislation.

Static Dock Shelter

Static dock shelters provide good all round protection from the outside elements keeping the workforce and goods protected. The seal is created by the side and head curtains moulding around the top and side of the vehicle as it reverses into the loading bay to meet the dock bumpers. The DR200 is a robust shelter that is well suited to high wind areas.

The standard size of a DR200 is 3500mm wide x 3500mm high x 600mm projection but can be made to suit varying vehicle heights. The standard head curtain size is 1200mm and the side curtains are 700mm, although this can be changed to suit. The roof of the shelter is sloped to allow any water to run off.

Static shelters are constructed from electro-plated box section and covered in a PVC type material. The curtains are made from heavy duty material with high visibility guide stripes to the side curtains.

SDR300 Retractable Dock Shelter

Retractable dock shelters provide good all round protection from the outside elements keeping the workforce and goods protected. The seal is created by the side and head curtains moulding around the top and side of the vehicle as it reverses into the loading bay to meet the dock bumpers. In the event of a misaligned vehicle impacting the front of the shelter, the structure will retract preventing any potential damage to the bay. Once the vehicle leaves the bay the shelter will return to its original position.

Retractable shelters are constructed from electro-plated box section and covered in a PVC type material and are made with cantilever arms. The curtains are made from heavy duty material with high visibility guide stripes to the side curtains.

SDSI400 Inflatable Dock Shelter

Inflatable dock shelters offer optimum protection from the outside elements keeping the workforce and goods protected and insulated, making the SDSI400 the best choice for cold storage or other ambient applications. Once the vehicle is docked the shelter is switched on activating the fan and the head and side bags inflate against the vehicle creating a good all round seal. Loading or unloading of the vehicle can then take place with little risk of the goods or operatives being affected by the outside environment.

The standard size is 3600mm wide x 3700mm high x 900mm projection, however this can be changed depending on the vehicles using the bay. Dockright airbags are manufactured from 1000d cordura type material which is a hardwearing, woven nylon coated fabric with a high tear resistance. The fan used is normally a three phase centrifugal fan that fully inflates the bags between 10-20 seconds. Once the fan is deactivated the bags will return to their deflated position behind the storage curtains by a counter balance weight system.

The standard SDSI400 has fully insulated side and head panels, however if temperature control is not key but your customer would still like the benefits of the inflatable shelter we manufacture the SDSI400B which has sides constructed of box section and a PVC type material.

Dock Accessors

Wheel Guides

Wheel guides are a visual aid to help the safe docking of a vehicle.  This will help prevent damage to the dock shelter and/or building and ensures the vehicle is aligned correctly allowing the safe loading and unloading of goods.  They can be made in various shapes and sizes to suit individual bay requirements, straight or splayed, bolt down or cast in and are finished in traffic yellow powder coat paint or galvanised if required.

Control Panels

Our control panels are designed, built and tested in-house.  We manufacture standard control panels to operate our dock levellers with a door interlock as standard, however we also manufacture composite control panels that give you the option to include full operation of the door, inflatable dock shelter, traffic lights with mimics and dock lights all from one panel.  Our panels are simple in design with self explaining buttons using relay logic technology.  We do have the experience and capacity to design and manufacture more complex control panels using PCBs and PLCs if required.

Standard Range Rubber Dock Bumper

The standard rubber dock bumper is the most popular and is designed to protect a loading dock from reversing HGV’s. It can be attached using a back plate and its life can be extended greatly if installed with a front plate, (not available with the 2410 model)
